Derek Powazek has been working the web since there was one. He was the Creative Director of Blogger in 1999-2000 and the Senior Designer of Technorati in 2004-2006. He is the author of Design for Community: The Art of Connecting Real People in Virtual Places. He lives in San Francisco with his wife, a grumpy cat, two nutty dogs, and a houseful of plants named Fred.
